vygosky Learning Theory

Vygotsky Learning Theory states that adult assist children’s learning through formal and informal demonstration. Learning begins with the social and moves to internal. Children acquire information when someone advance assist them in learning. In  his theory he defines one of his major concept,  Zone  of Proximal Development  as  the  difference between  what a child can  achieve with help and what  he/she cannot accomplish without guidance. In the classroom, the person who is knowledgeable is not always the teacher. Student can also be placed in collaborative groups with other s who have demonstrated mastery of tasks.  He believed that student must be taught information within the zone of proximal development to develop a relationship with the material, and then the scaffolding must be taken to fully form understanding.
